Here's where you'll find links to the earliest versions of GilligCoaches.NET  Founded in 2001, this website started out with only three images and only two links. Some of the links on the pages linked here are non functional as these pages are for display only, but some are and they offer a preview into what GilligCoaches.NET looked like as the website has evolved.  This page was inspired by the Internet Wayback Machine at http://www.archive.org.

These pages linked here were the various homepages that I used throughout the years, and they are linked to their original website addresses.
GTCA's Look Back
The Gillig Transit Coach Webpage (March 9, 2001-March 15,2001)

This page here is what GilligCoaches.NET looked like when it originally debuted on March 9, 2001 under the name "The Gillig Transit Coach Webpage." It was exactly that, just one page with a header image borrowed from another bus website at the time. Initially, this website had a dark green and black background for its first day, but I decided to use the title image (albeit a little darker) as a tiled background image.  The title text required a Ray Larabie-created font called Pricedown to work correctly, and was a requirement for all visitors until late May.
The Gillig Transit Coach Archives (March 15, 2001-April 12, 2001 -  Version 2.0)

This is the page that succeeded the initial debut. Like the original, all the category headings required the use of Pricedown (a font that was created to resemble the title font of the game show "The Price is Right") to display correctly. The header image I chose to use here was my first-ever personally-taken photograph of a Gillig - my former 855DT-16. I don't really know where I found the background tile image, but I liked it so much I decided to use it here.  This page here was also hand-coded HTML, and insitituted a more professional title change.
The Gillig Transit Coach Archives (April 12, 2001-April 15, 2001 - Version 3.0)

This was practically the same as before, but I was experementing with different looks with the background tile image. Like the former, this was hand-coded HTML that took hours to test and release.
The Gillig Transit Coach Archives (April 15, 2001-April 28, 2001 - Version 4.0)

Same as the former, but I added a link to the official Gillig Corporation website.
The Gillig Transit Coach Archives (April 28, 2001-May 10, 2001 - Version 4.5)

This was a slight tweak to the former two links above. I added a new subsection on the homepage, as well as refined the look of it. I also joined WebRing at the time, and added two webrings to my site (although both are inactive now).
The Gillig Transit Coach Archives (May 10, 2001-May 10, 2001 - Version 5.0)

This was my first moderate overhaul of the site since its launch, and for the first time I categorized my links into their own little "box" so to speak. This became the precursor to the graphical link buttons I use now, and were hand-coded HTML tables.
The Gillig Transit Coach Archives (May 10, 2001-May 21, 2001 - Version 6.0)

This is the first time I used a main logo header with a personally-created graphic for a website logo. This time, I decided to commission the aid of a professional fontographer to create for me a font typeface that resembled that of the typeface Gillig used on their older oval-styled emblems. I used that to create the header, and an image supplied by another bus website to create the graphic. This look was my least favorite, and was quickly replaced.
The Gillig Transit Coach Archives (May 21, 2001-June 21, 2001 - Version 7.0)

This is the first major update of GilligCoaches.NET (at the time known as the GTCA for the site's initials).  It featured 25 new Gillig photos, as well as large bits of information about Gillig's acquisition of the Kenworth bus production lineup. It was here that I began testing a totally new look (which has been the mainstay look today), and at this time I decided to drop the use of Pricedown as the required font to display the pages correctly.

This look lasted an entire month.
The Gillig Transit Coach Archives (June 21, 2001-July 1, 2001 - Version 8.0)

Until the time of this "nip-and-tuck," the address of the website used to be
http://www.geocities.com/srosenow_98/Gillig.html. This was about to change, as changes were being made. At the time I released this fresh revamp of the previous update, I decided to begin moving all of my files over to a more professional Geocities subdomain just solely related to Gillig buses. The move was made within a week and a half, and the website soon debuted under a new address. This was in-fact a totally rebuilt hand-coded HTML page as I had by accident deleted the file doing work on it.

On July 1, 2001, I closed the GTCA at the
srosenow_98 Geocities subdomain and opened it up for business at http://www.geocities.com/gilligcoaches, with the new name of "The Gillig Transit Coach and Pacific SchoolCoach Resource." The new look resembled pretty much what you see today, except the fact that I have totally facelifted everything. Additionally, I have totally rebuilt the entire website from scratch, and instituted a new file-format system in place to properly categorize photos within their own subdirectories.

Initially, at the start of the new "gilligcoaches" Geocities account, I used the same background, but quickly started producing some of my own.  Additionally, I also began revamping my title graphic headers, and it became a sort of "tradition" to roll out a new look every six months.  My last revamp was in 2003, when the last major update was made to the website. Afterwards, I went on my hiatus, and returned in 2006.

Here's a list of every title header I've ever produced, starting with the first one.
This header was an update of the first header, and was actually created more than six months later. It was created to halfway simulate a professionally-built news set.
This was a slight update to the original header, smoothing out the colors on it and making the text more prominent. When this header was released, the previous header and corresponding background image were used as the template for a brand new site I opened up at the time, called the "Traffic Signal Illustrator", a now-defunct website devoted to the hobby of traffic signal collecting in late 2001.
This header lasted for nearly four years, and was created to simulate the look of the set to a former KOMO TV public affairs talk show program called "Town Meeting."  It was also the very last header ever used at the GeoCities address.

In 2006, The Gillig Transit Coach and Pacific SchoolCoach Resource moved to a new web address, and was simply renamed "GilligCoaches.NET." When the site moved, it adopted a fresh revamp of the current layout designed for a larger desktop resolution, and received a new header.

This header was the very first one used under the new name "The Gillig Transit Coach and Pacific SchoolCoach Resource", and was actually inspired largely by the graphics package KOMO used for their newscasts in the early '90s. I fished this one during a recent browse of the Internet Wayback Machine, and was shocked to see this header again because I had deleted it from my computer's harddrive a long time ago. The tandem-axle Gillig in the upper header image block was one I found on the internet.
