| 1979 Gillig 555DT-13, Calvary Church, Longview, Washington. This is a 1979 Gillig that was formerly out of Toppenish School District in Toppenish, Washington. It is now owned by Calvary Church in Longview, Washington. This photo and the others with it can be viewed at the 555D-Series Gilligs page. Photo copyright (C) 2007 Mark Obtinario, and GilligCoaches.NET. Unidentified Kenworth-Pacific/Reo partnership This may not be a Gillig, but sure is an interesting bus indeed! Apparently, it seems to be a Reo chassis underneath a Kenworth-Pacific School Coach body. Nothing else is known of this bus, and was part of a series of photos sent in by GilligCoaches.NET contributor Tim Bentz. Click the "Pacific Photos" link to the left for more photos of this bus. 1979 Gillig 555DT-13 This bus, owned by the Shelton School District, is the last Gillig to serve both Shelton, and at press time, any district south of Shelton and Puyallup School Districts in all of Western Washington. It's a 1979 555DT-13 and more can be read by clicking on the "555D-series" link under "Photo Galleries." 1974 Gillig 636D-13 This is a 1974 Gillig retired from service out of Chimacum School District in Chimacum, Washington. Currently owned by David Walker of Hansville, Washington, this bus is now undergoing full restoration and conversion to an RV. For more information, see the "636D-series" page in the Photo Gallery. (UPDATE DECEMBER 2007: This bus' future rests on a pending sale. Stay tuned!) 1973 Gillig 318D-11 This bus was photographed at Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers on June 10, 2006 on a trip to Castle Rock to investigate the purchase of two Gilligs there. Originally from Valley School District, this bus was retired just days before this photo was taken. It is now under the stewardship of GilligCoaches.NET co-producer Tim Olsen. It is equipped with a Detroit 6V53 diesel engine and an allison MT643 automatic transmission. 1979 Gillig 636D-13 This Gillig, owned by GilligCoaches.NET co-producer Tim Olsen, was formerly in service for the Snoqualmie Valley School District in Snoqualmie, Washington. It is a late 1979 model equipped with split-sash drop-sliding windows with black powder-coated aluminum window frames, a CAT 3208 diesel engine and an Allison MT643 automatic transmission. |
